The State’s 15th Recovery Centre will open in Wisemans Ferry today, providing face-to- face support for Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley locals affected by recent flooding.
Minister for Emergency Services and Resilience and Minister for Flood Recovery Steph Cooke said the Recovery Centre would assist communities transition from response into clean-up and recovery.
“Whether it’s replacing damaged documents, receiving help with the clean-up, registering for emergency accommodation or accessing mental health service, I encourage everyone to visit a nearby Recovery Centre and find out what you are eligible for,” Ms Cooke said.
“The NSW Government is committed to making sure our flood-affected communities can clean up, rebuild stronger and develop resilience for future natural disasters our State will face.”
Member for the Hawkesbury Robyn Preston said the focus right now is on delivering as much practical support as possible.
“The Recovery Centre at Wisemans Ferry is open seven days a week making it easy for individuals, families, farmers and small business owners to access a range of services, support and advice,” Ms Preston said.
