Racing NSW Chief Executive calls time on a historic tenure
The NSW Government extends its congratulations and sincere thanks to Mr Peter V’landys AM as he has announced he will conclude his long 22-year tenure as Chief Executive of Racing NSW.
Over more than two decades of distinguished service, Mr V’landys has transformed the racing industry in New South Wales, turning it into an economic powerhouse and a standard-bearer for excellence.
Through his leadership, drive, and innovations including the creation of world-class events he elevated NSW as the premier racing destination in the country headlined by the Spring carnival racing season with landmark events including The Everest and The Golden Eagle, along with increasing minimum prizemoney levels across all sectors.
Mr V’landys will conclude at Racing NSW on 30 November 2026 and I wish him well in his future as he takes up the permanent role of Executive Chairman of the National Rugby League.
The NSW Government will continue to work with Racing NSW and look forward to working with Acting Chief Executive Graeme Hinton to continue to elevate the thoroughbred industry in NSW.
