Work starts on Nowra Workplace Hub

Intermain Pty Ltd, which was appointed by PDNSW as lead contractor to deliver the project, will partner with up to 30 local subcontractors to support local jobs and businesses as work progresses over coming months.

The new workplace hub will offer more than 1,800 square metres of office space to accommodate staff from six government departments over two floors, with an additional third floor providing capacity for future expansion to potentially welcome additional government agencies or private sector tenants.

The redevelopment will provide modern workplace accommodation for the departments that occupy the building including the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI), the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), the Department of Customer Service (DCS), the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

The upgraded Nowra Workplace Hub is targeting a 4.0 Star Green Star – Interiors rating. It will also align with the latest NSW Government workplace design standards, ensuring accessible, inclusive, and flexible workspaces catering to diverse range of user needs.

“The O'Keeffe Avenue property was first opened in the early 2000s and needs this upgrade to ensure our local public servants can work in a high-quality collaborative setting to deliver their best work and services for the residents of the South Coast.
