This step-by-step workshop will ensure everyone leaves with the confidence to establish and care for chickens in a typical backyard setting. Whether you have hens already, are taking your first foray into keeping chickens or are just curious, come along to be part of the fun! Kids over 13 welcome to book with an accompanying (ticket-holding) adult.

If you have ever wanted to turn your backyard into a free range chicken run then this workshop is for you and the family! Jacqui will explain and demonstrate how your chickens can be more than a daily supply of healthy protein-packed eggs. As the hardest working members of your gardening team chickens can help process food scraps into compost, control pests and diseases, prepare veggie beds and fertilise your plants if integrated into your garden systems.

Check the website for ticket availability.
