The National Institute of Dramatic Art is a centre of excellence in theatre, film, television and cultural leadership. In addition to fulltime Higher Education, NIDA’s customised consultancy and training programs provide access to the philosophy and expertise of Australia’s premier organisation dedicated to the research and practice of the performing arts. At the heart of NIDA’s training is the belief that to be a creative leader, you must understand all aspects of bringing your artistic vision to life for an audience. From day one there is a balance between the academic and the practical, as all of their courses provide students with opportunities to put learning into practice. Utilising some of the most outstanding tutors and practitioners in theatre, film and television in Australia, NIDA teaching artists deliver each session ensuring participants obtain set outcomes with an individual focus. Acting for the Screen, 18+ on Tuesday 16 April. These sessions will run for one day (10am to 4pm) and provide students with the foundation tools for an actor looking to develop their on screen presence understand the technical requirements of screen acting and take their performance to the next level.
