Have more beauty with Art Kintsugi in your precious life!
Kintsugi is five centuries-old traditional Japanese art which is a method of restoring a broken/cracked piece with a lacquer that is mixed with gold, silver, or platinum. In the recent years, this craftsmanship has been regarded as an important traditional art to influence on modern art around the world. One of the reasons is that it is more than just mending broken ceramics, and it is one beautiful way to living.
Their Art Kintsugi workshop is based on these three Japanese philosophies:
Give your broken objects a new life and make them beautifully more than before by yourself.
Get spiritual satisfaction without never-ending consumerism.
Embrace beauty in imperfection.
What you will learn in this workshop is modern kintsugi which follows the principal of traditional Kintsugi using alternative materials that are more accessible and enable you to complete the whole processes within the class:
Understanding the materials and how to use them with safety guidelines.
The basic kintsugi process from start to finish and tips, tricks and traps to avoid.
All materials will be provided.
