Australian Billy Cart Championships
Sanger Street, Corowa, NSW, 2646, Australia
15th April 2017
On Easter Saturday every year, the town of Corowa in Southern NSW comes alive as the centre of billy cart racing action, festival fun and family entertainment. Attracting competitors of all ages and from all over the country, it’s a weekend of scraped knees and engineering marvels as childhood memories are relived on homemade contraptions down the middle of main street. In 2016, over 3,500 people watched on as competitors raced down Sanger Street in their home made or professionally designed billy carts. The event features life music, market stalls, food and a Show and Shine of vintage and modern classic cars. Local businesses open their doors and turn on the country hospitality. Children not racing can enjoy the jumping castle, free face painting and Easter craft activities for the young.
