The Australian World Orchestra (AWO) presents their fourth chamber music festival in the NSW Southern Highlands. The AWO brings together Australia's finest musicians from the world's greatest orchestras to present exhilarating classical music performances in intimate and historic venues. Concert Two: is a stunning program presented at the grand and historic Hopewood House which is rich in Southern Highlands' history. The musicians of the AWO chamber ensemble will perform a programme that starts with Mendelssohn and Mozart and then segues into jazz and tango classics. A highlight of the day will be festival guest composer Ann Carr-Boyd's pieces "Balmoral Rag", "Rag for Razz" and "Fandango for Fifi". Guest musicians Marcello Maio (piano accordion) and Artistic Director Christina Leonard (saxophone) will bring these non-traditional chamber instruments together with a quintet: Miki Tsunoda (violin), Lerida Delbridge (violin), Sally Clarke (viola), Timothy Nankervis (cello) and Kees Boersma (double bass) for Sunday's performance. Lunch is included in tickets and will be served after the concert. Guests can meet the musicians and composer Ann Carr-Boyd AM and enjoy the beautiful gardens and public buildings of Hopewood House. Concert One is at 7pm on Saturday 25th November at The Robertson Hotel, Robertson.
