In this course they will develop a botanic watercolour painting, from initial sketching through to watercolour washes and detailed dry brush with expert artist Angela Lober. The content of the class will reinforce foundation skills and focus on refining composition, applying watercolour, light and shade, colour and detail. This course caters for students who have previous skills in botanic art and watercolour and would like further tuition to hone their techniques. Includes lunches on the Foundation and Friends terrace. About the instructor: Angela Lober Angela has been exhibiting in Australia and internationally since 2002 and has a particular interest in the uniqueness of Australian Flora, particularly the productive rainforest species of the east coast. Her work is found in several international collections including the Isaac M Sutton Collection in New York and the Shirley Sherwood Collection in the UK, as well as in the State Botanical Collection, Melbourne, the Florilegium at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney and the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Pittsburgh USA. In 2012 she was awarded a Silver-gilt Medal at the Royal Horticultural Society, London and in 2014 she won the Celia Rosser Medal for Excellence in Botanic Art, in Melbourne.
