Back to Hartley is a community event to promote their heritage and raising funds for local charities/not for profit groups. Entry is AUD5 per car, all monies raised will be donated to a local community group in the Lithgow district. (2018 recipient to be advised.) Back to Hartley is a day of family fun and entertainment with something for every age member of the family to enjoy. A petting zoo, snake show, Lithgow Folk Club , Sally Anne's Dancers, Free pre-school activities , Lithgow Living History - get lashed as a convict, pony rides and much more. Explore the Village and visit the Talisman Gallery enter the fire poke challenge, the fantastic work of local Indigenous artists in the Kew-Y-Ahn Gallery, purchase Irish gifts for Finn's Celtic Store, view the village from the highest point on the site at the Granite Tors, look inside the convict cells and courthouse or try the Rowson's River Walk. The event showcases a variety of hand made arts and crafts, vintage motor bikes, Mountain Cruisers Car Club.
