The Cessnock Stomp Festival celebrates the end of Vintage in the Hunter Valley Wine Country. It showcases Cessnock township as the Gateway to the vineyards and as a friendly authentic and vibrant country town. Vincent Street Cessnock will be blocked off from Hall Street to Wollombi Road between 10am and 4pm for the Cessnock Stomp Festival to activate the CBD. This event presents the Hunter Valley Wine Country destination as thriving hub for arts, performance, street theatre, wine and beer tastings and local produce. Festival highlights include the Mad Hatter’s High Tea, street foods with restaurants and food vendors, grape stomping, bubble lane, craft beer stalls, markets, fashion parade, live entertainment, Hunter Valley Zoo, kids amusements and rides. The whole event creates a successful family friendly carnival atmosphere. Some of the high-demand sell-out activities are ticketed, including the Grape Stomping competition as well as the Mad Hatter’s High Tea. They have grown the successful attributes of the festival and continue to reinvent and reinvigorate activities to ensure visitors and locals have renewed excitement and interest each year.
