Broken Hill Community Markets occur on the second Saturday of each month. Come and meet the locals. The Markets run in the mornings every month except in December when they have a Twilight Market after the Christmas Pageant. Regular stalls offer delicious food such as freshly cooked barbecue, Cora's Asian food, Carol's 'allergy' cakes, Liz's handmade chocolates, the Sea Scouts' doughnuts, Pauline's homemade cakes, jams and chutneys, Alain the 'French Foodie Frog' sells his imported pate from south western France, Summa brings her coffee van and Wayne brings his plants to sell. For the browsers they have the Carroll's, Martin's and Edward's stalls full of old wares and collectibles, Janet's 'Art from the Heart', Josie's cards, minerals from Broken Hill, and Julie's hand made jewellery. Occasional stalls offer Menindee fruit and vegetables, quandong products, clothing and more. They even have Labor or the Greens there to have a chat. How to get to the Markets: just a short walk from Broken Hill's main street, the Centre for Community is in Beryl Street opposite Aruma Lodge. The Community Market is held in the grounds of the Centre through the driveway, and in Sturt Park on Sulphide Street side .
