The Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum was established in 1964 and covers approximately 164 hectares overlooking beautiful Lake Burrendong. The arboretum is dedicated to the conservation of Australia's unique and incredibly diverse flora.

A warm invitation is extended to all locals and visitors to visit the Botanic Garden and Arboretum to experience one of the largest collections of Australian plants in cultivation. Over 50,000 flowering plants, shrubs and trees from more than 2,000 species are on display.

From March to November on the fourth Sunday of each month, free guided tours of the Burrendong Botanic Garden and Arboretum will be offered between 11am and 3pm.

Each guided tour takes approximately thirty minutes to one hour to complete.

Let your imagination run wild as you explore strange, colourful and spectacular shapes and smells of Hakeas, Wattles, Eucalyptus, Mint Bushes and many more.
