ChibCha Colombian Music at TRBC

Chibcha is an almost extinct language from Colombia spoken by the indigenous Muisca. It’s also the producer alias name for Colombian born artist Oscar Jimenez (Amaru Tribe, Watussi). Playing a combination of original material to tunes from his tropical homeland, Oscar creates new musical genres using mixing and looping techniques together with traditional and electronic soundscapes. Joined by members of Amaru Tribe: Katherine Gailer (vocals) and Cristian Saavedra (percussion) they make a unique electro folk ensemble, a sound system version of Amaru Tribe.
