Crookwell Irish Concert 2019
Goulburn Street, Crookwell, NSW, 2583, Australia
No upcoming dates
Crookwell Services Club is proud to host a lively night of Traditional Irish Music and Song on Saturday 16 February, celebrating Irish heritage and the contribution of early Irish settlers to the historic Upper Lachlan Shire town of Crookwell and surrounds. Visiting Irish traditional musician Aisling Vaughan from County Cork is the featured performer at the concert. Another performer is Rosie McDonald, an accomplished singer of traditional songs. Rosie's family hails from Crookwell, her grandfather was Dr Frank Burns. Dr Burns had a medical practice in Crookwell for many decades and will be remembered by many Crookwell people today. This is sure to be a popular event, so bookings are essential! This concert complements the Crookwell AP&H Society Irish Heritage Weekend, running at the Crookwell Showground from the evening of Friday 15 February until noon on Sunday 17 February. Other events happening on this weekend include the famous Laggan Markets, where you can pick up a bargain and sample local produce, and the Pig Races at the Laggan Pub (both on Saturday 16 February).
