During this very special evening presented as part of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, LGBTQI artists explore new museum perspectives through performance, tours and happenings. A provocation for the curious, Culture Up Late turns the museum inside out. With Virtual Reality experiences, short and sweet tours, hands-on workshops, live music and performances, enjoy a mid-week diversion with a bit of a difference. It’s also the perfect opportunity to enjoy the latest exhibitions, during its quieter moments. The event will include Live Music: Lady Sings It Better, Live Art: with Sam Leighton-Dore, Spot Tour: Wild Queer Sexy Planet, Tall Tales and True with Museum experts, ANSTO Science Round-Up, Conservatorium Compositions: original musical compositions by Sydney Conservatorium of Music students, Weaving and Yarning with Aunty Karleen Green, Virtual Reality: Chasing Coral, Touch Table interactions, 3D Science and Technology, Magnificent Minerals with Mel Murray. Tickets include free access to the entire museum, including temporary exhibition Mammoths - Giant of the Ice Age.
