Dr Brett Summerell, Director of Research and Chief Botanist at the Botanic Gardens, spent six months in 2018 as a Fulbright Distinguished Chair in Agriculture and Life Sciences at Kansas State University in Manhattan Kansas (the Little Apple). During this time, as well as on previous visits to the US, he has visited numerous botanic gardens, herbaria, museums and national parks throughout America.

Join them at Tattersalls Club Hyde Park for canapes and a two-course luncheon to learn about Dr Summerell’s experience of living in the mid-west of America and the diverse gardens, plants and ecosystems he has visited over the past 20 years.
