Expect to revise any preconceived notions you have about classical music when internationally acclaimed Steinway Artist Julian Gargiulo makes his Dubbo debut, direct from Carnegie Hall! The man with the fro-like mane wanted to be a rock star when he was a kid but he grew up to become a classical pianist instead. The Italian-American performer will hold you spellbound as he takes you through a stunning concert program. It will include Debussy’s Clair de Lune and Rimsky- Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee but not forgetting the usual suspects Beethoven and Chopin in-between sharing his life stories and experiences from stages around the world. Combining rigorous Russian conservatory training with an informal style of presenting classical music, Julian has been receiving standing ovations on both sides of the Atlantic and is not to be missed. You may even find him helping you to your seat before the show!
