Banjo Paterson's 'The Man from Ironbark' is well known throughout Australia, now the village made famous by the poem, Stuart Town (formerly Ironbarks), is celebrating its history, culture and creativity through the Man from Ironbark Festival. Festival starts 9am, official opening 10.30am, street parade 11am, music in Moxon Park 11.30am with popular local entertainers Nigel Stanley, Barry Dickerson, Tracey Chapman and Mick Austin followed by all day entertainment. Market stalls, displays, food stalls, outback kitchen, demonstrations, ride on convoy, helicopter, Cobb and Co rides, camel rides, art exhibition and plenty more. Highlights not to be missed - gold panning at the Prospectors Activities Centre and an open day at the historic Stuart Town Railway Station.
