Glen Innes and District Historical Society Inc. present Many Cultures-Our History Conference. The conferences will be held over a period of three days, with various guest speakers. They will be speaking on different topics of history and culture. Below are two out of ten Conference Speakers who will be presenting over the course of three days. John Graham – Genealogist, President of Ryerson Inc. will be speaking about Strategic Business Continuity –Linking Local History and Genealogy Research. Jacqui Newling–Colonial Gastronomer, Sydney Living Museums 'Colonial Food Culture'. Based on the idea that British and Celtic settlers brought their own food culture with them and then had to adapt it to their new surroundings, beginning with first settlement and the opening up of new territories into the 1830s, including references to the types of food eaten and the ways they were cooked.
