Meditation and Buddhism

Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a second guided meditation based on the topic. There is also an opportunity for discussion, followed by refreshments. In each class a different aspect of meditation and Buddhism is explained. The classes are self-contained so you can drop in any week. There is no need to book or bring anything. Topics and Dates: - Simply Meditate - September 3, 10, 17. Meditation is a way of calming the mind, reducing stress and developing a more positive approach to life. - Overcoming Stress - October 8, 15, 22. Explore how Buddhist meditation, combined with a change in perspective, can enable us to reduce and finally eliminate stress. - How to Keep Your Cool - November 5, 12, 19. Make frustration and annoyance a thing of the past by learning how to keep your cool when things go wrong! - Loss and Loneliness - December 3, 10, 17. No meditation experience is necessary, classes are suitable for beginners and experienced meditators. Everyone is welcome. EFTPOS facility available.
