Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize Exhibition

Established in 2007, the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize (MCPP) is a national competition that awards and promotes Australian contemporary photography and excellence. The exhibition features work from both emerging and professional photographers enter interpret Contemporary Life in Australia with an emphasis on Australians going about their day-to-day life. The prize attracts not only the cream of Australian photographers but encourages artists at all stages of their careers to enter with a special category for school aged children. First prize is AUD50,000 and in 2018 was awarded to emerging photographer James Bugg. The Prize attracts highly distinguished judges both local and international and in 2018 the judges were Jon Jones, Cheryl Newman and Raphaela Rosella.
