Music On a Market Sunday – Plants Behaving Badly
114 Rusden Street, Armidale, NSW, 2350, Australia
No upcoming dates
New works by Chris Cunningham feature in the December concert in the Market Sunday Series. The concert doesn’t actually coincide with a Market (since the markets are on a Saturday) but will take place on Sunday 9 December at 12:30pm. Two new works will be premiered: On Looking Out the Window: a Himalayan song-cycle with words and music by Chris Cunningham, performed by Karin von Strokirch, soprano and Peter Maddox, piano; and Plants Behaving Badly: a reading with music with words by Chris Cunningham, music by Richard Peter Maddox. The latter will be performed by Chris Cunningham, reader, Graham Maddox, oboe, Laurie Pulley, viola, Stuart Pavel, percussion, Peter Maddox, piano. Chris Cunningham is a versatile and witty poet and musician and this is a great opportunity to see and hear him in both roles supported by some of Armidale’s finest musicians. Admission to the concert is free, though donations are encouraged.
