National Apology to Victims and Survivors of Institutional Child Sexual Abuse

You and your guests are invited to attend the NSW telecast of the National Apology to Victims and Survivors of Institutional Child Sexual Abuse.
The Apology will be delivered by the Prime Minister, the Hon. Scott Morrison MP, at the Parliament of Australia in Canberra. A live screening of this Apology will be conducted at the NSW viewing ceremony, following an address by NSW Premier, the Hon. Gladys Berejiklian MP.
Light refreshments will be served. The event will be held from 10:15am to 1pm.
Members of institutions who wish to attend the Apology events in their personal capacity as a survivor, or as a support person to a survivor, are respectfully asked not to wear a uniform or any clothing that identifies their institution.
Attendees are reminded that this event is nationally significant and may attract media attention. It is a personal decision if you wish to engage with the media. Every effort will be made to protect your privacy while attending the event.

The NSW Government encourages survivors of child sexual or physical assault to access confidential counselling that is available through the Victims Support Scheme.
