The National Boys Choir of Australia was founded in 1964 and has established itself as one of Australia’s finest treble choirs. The Choir is made up of approximately 200 boys aged between seven - fifteen, commencing with a two year training period before moving into the Performing Choir. Choristers are trained in the traditional bel canto style. Repertoire includes music ranging from early motetes through to contemporary commissioned works and fully staged children’s operas, as well as musical comedy, art songs and folk songs from around the world.
