Omnicare Alliance’s The RED Conference, A Regional Experience in Practical Dementia Care is in its second year, being held over two days from March 28 to 29, 2019 at Sails Port Macquarie. The RED conference will showcase regionally focused practical and hands-on approaches and practices in dementia that can be immediately implemented to support people living with dementia to live well in either the home or other care environments. Speakers include Dr Cameron Camp, American Montessori for Dementia expert, who returns after captivating delegates in 2017; Ms Lesley Palmer, Chief Architect at University of Stirling, Scotland and Professor Joseph Ibrahim, Monash University. A number of local speakers will also be presenting over the two days. Dr Cameron Camp will also hold a pre-conference masterclass on Tuesday, March 27 on Enabling Persons with Memory Impairment to Learn New Tasks. The conference attracts service providers, residential aged care facilities, allied health and medical professionals, GP’s and Nurses, community based organisations, people living well with dementia and carers.
