Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) is hosting a series of old and new Australian films that explore the outlaw narrative in Australian art, films that paint a picture of the alternative hero. The Outlaw Film Festival is inspired by our current major exhibition, Sidney Nolan's Ned Kelly series, on tour from the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra. Program: One Night the Moon (2001), by Rachel Perkins Muriels Wedding (1994), by PJ Hogan Wake in Fright (1971), by Ted Kotcheff Night Cries: A rural tragedy (1989), by Tracey Moffatt Terror Nullius (2018), by Soda_Jerk Click through to the MAMA website for more information about each film, including links to trailers. Films will be screened in the Paul Ramsay Galleries Theatrette, MAMA, from 6pm. Bar opens at 5.30pm. Films will be briefly introduced by the curatorial team.
