Corner Phillip and Alfred Streets, Sydney, NSW, 2000, Australia
25th March 2018
Join them this Palm Sunday to remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem as they re-enact the events of the first Palm Sunday. Be a part of their jubilant procession that follows ‘Jesus’ from Phillip Street (under the Cahill Expressway) to the Sydney Opera House and back to Phillip Street. Together, they will sing joyful Christian songs and wave palm branches, declaring to this city that Jesus is King. Following this ‘walk of witness’ a short time of celebration, singing and message is held under the Cahill expressway. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of the Easter holy week and is the first of Wesley Mission’s public Easter events. This Easter, they are exploring the concept of compassion.
