Green Connect is a sprawling urban farm using permaculture and organic principles to grow fair food for Wollongong and the Illawarra. They think that its important for people to know where their food comes from and the work that goes into producing it. They are striving to give a friendly, informative, hands-on tour of their farm where they explain the process from seed to plant to vegetable. Visitors will be able to touch, smell and taste their way through their 12 acre farmlands, and the opportunity to meet their pigs, chickens and sheep. Green Connect is a not-for-profit social enterprise and all proceeds will go towards the work that they do employing young people and former refugees to do environmental work that helps their community.
