Pilchers Mountain Walk
191 Dowling Street, Dungog, NSW, 2420, Australia
4th October 2017
Pilchers Mountain Walk is south of Dungog Pilchers Reserve and is a regionally significant stand of remnant dry rainforest, with deep sandstone gorges and caves (six kilometres, hard). There is a limit of 12 people on this walk, so please book with the walk organiser. Meeting point to be advised. The aim of Dungog Dawdlers Walking for Pleasure is to provide a safe, friendly and healthy walking group for locals and visitors to the area. They have walks each month in varying locations, and with varying distances. Participants should wear loose comfortable clothing and flat well cushioned shoes, wear a hat in hot weather and use a sunblock on exposed skin. Bring along a snack and drink in a lightweight back pack. Each walk is graded as very easy (suitable for wheelchairs); easy (relatively gentle grades and good surfaces which are suitable for most people); medium (includes rough or steep sections some of which may require clambering over natural obstacles); and hard (strenuous walks involving steep ascents or descents over rougher terrain which are suited to fit and experienced walkers).
