Eurobodalla Shire Council are proud to bring Essential Theatre back to the Botanic Gardens in their 16th summer of touring Shakespeare's classics. Under the setting sun, Essential Theatre invites you to relax in the grounds of the beautiful Eurobodalla Botanic Garden and savour the performance of Shakespeare’s delightful comedy - Twelfth Night. “If music be the food of love, play on” After a raging shipwreck, Viola finds herself washed ashore, separated from her twin brother, Sebastian, and alone on the beach of Illyria. To survive, Viola immerses herself in this new land. Join Viola on her journey, be delighted by the unforgettable characters and thrilled by the adventures this strange yet wonderful land has to offer. Whether you’re new to the work of Essential Theatre or a regular audience member you're guaranteed a night to remember. This performance is an outdoor picnic event, so bring your blankets, food and beverages, coffee will be available and insect repellent is advisable. Should wet weather occur the Batemans Bay High School is the alternate venue. The Gardens are a No bin Zone, please take out all you bring in.
