Gabby Malpas’ artworks create a world of escape with colours that blend into tropical plants and ethereal locations. All her pieces have layers of symbolic meaning with compositions similar to Chinese scroll paintings and botanical studies. They are created with watercolour on arches paper and canvas. Gabby Malpas has 30 years in fine tuning her delicate hand with skillful precision. Her artistic elements have a mystical quality that brings to mind a world of peace. The scale of each piece would be perfect for any home or office to brighten a room and complement any décor The Artist Reception will be dedicated to her vision for change into one exhibition. As a transracial Asian adoptee, raised in a white family Gabby Malpas has combined her passion for raising awareness about adoption and her passion for art. She is committed to sharing knowledge and support from her unique life experiences, she has been working with FCCA (Families with Children from China). She holds workshops once a month with a group of teenage girls: the main focus being peer support with the creation of beautiful artworks an added bonus. Some of these artworks will be displayed alongside with Gabby during the exhibition.
