No upcoming dates
On selected Sundays, visitors may ride in a vintage open-ended "cowboy" carriage. This will be pulled by a Stephenson Tank Engine from 1899 which has recently been revived for the Museum's 25 minute return trip (subject to change/operating conditions). Other operating days (see website) will still see all day rides on the ever popular Steam Tram from the 1890s. Now in full swing is a new free Smartphone app that visitors can download to enjoy interesting facts and figures about the exhibits. Take the app home to share. A newly unveiled World War One Honour Board commemorates 18 local railwaymen who enlisted for World War One. Read the stories behind these young mens' lives. Entry prices include museum entry and steam train or steam tram rides. Please refer to the website for schedule details.
