The popular outdoor live music event, Summerfest, will return to Harry Bennett Park in Taree on Saturday December 2, which is the culmination of the Live n Loud events throughout the year. Now in its sixth year, Summerfest is a unique music event, planned and run by local young people. From the organisation and marketing to the production and performances, everything is the responsibility of the Manning Youth Action Team (MYAT), who are supported by MidCoast Council’s Youth Engagement Officer, Russell Ingram. In a first for Summerfest, Sydney based band Bad Pony will be headlining the event with local artist Kyle Shilling providing the main support. Four local Live n Loud bands will round out the line up (SOAR, EZ3, Nana Klumpp and Sox and Robbers). The event gives a variety of artists who have performed at Live n Loud the opportunity to play on a larger outdoor stage in front of a wider community audience.
