The first weekend of February sees the return of Sydney’s most enjoyable sporting weekend The Sydney Morning Herald Sun Run and Cole Classic. With fun runs, open water swimming and the introduction of the brand new Aquathlon, Sydney's breathtaking Northern Beaches is expected to host 10,000 participants over this fabulous weekend. It all kicks off on the Saturday, with two spectacular events: seven kilometre and 10 kilometre fun runs along Manly's stunning coastline. Both events start at Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club and finish beside the iconic Manly Lifesaving Club on Manly Beach, Children under five run for free. This year will also see the introduction of a brand new hybrid event, The Sydney Morning Herald Aquathon, designed to give participants the chance to challenge themselves with the 8.5 kilometre course (run and swim). The fun doesn't stop there! Now in it’s 35th year Manly's refreshing ocean waters will host Sydney’s most historic and famous swim event, The Sydney Morning Herald Cole Classic at beautiful Shelly Beach. Entrants can participate in the one kilometre, two kilometre and five kilometre events, finishing the swim in front of Manly Lifesaving Club. Registrations are now open.
