Illawarra On Pointe Productions presents their Concert Orchestra in Symphonic Epics. An adventure packed concert suitable for the whole family that features epic music for the symphony orchestra. Works include Rimsky Korsakov's Scheherazade, Miklos Rosza's Ben Hur, Karl Jenkin's Adiemus, music from Indianna Jones by John Williams and more. The concert is compèred and conducted by IOP's Artistic Director Ryley Gillen.

Symphonic Epics will also premiere Kyle Eardley's The Trombone Ranger as a part of IOP's original Australian symphonic works program. This composition pays tribute to South Coast local Max Croot. Max was awarded the Order of Australia in 2014 for his love of music and fostering that love in the community. IOP will also announce their 2020 biannual ballet at this concert.

IOP's recent credits include Peter Pan (2018, the Illawarra's first commissioned ballet), Sleeping Beauty (2018, A choose your own adventure orchestral story), South Pacific: In Concert (2017 SEC), Chess: In Concert (2017), The Nutcracker (2016 IPAC) and Regional NSW School Tour Peter and the Wolf (2017).

The Concert Orchestra is made up of exceptional musicians from the South Coast, Sydney and Southern Highlands. IOP also integrates young aspiring musicians as a part of its mentorship program
