The Kentia Prize
Neds Beach Road, Lord Howe Island, NSW, 2898, Australia
5th January 2018 to 8th January 2018
Win a dream holiday on Lord Howe Island, a World Heritage-listed paradise. The Kentia Prize is a digital photography competition open to all photographers. The best 80 pictures selected by the judges will feature in the Kentia Prize Exhibition, held in the island’s public hall on 5-8 January 2018. Lord Howe is 600km east of the NSW North Coast. A spectacular holiday destination, only 400 visitors are allowed on the island at any one time. Enjoy breathtaking views from the famous twin peaks, relax on gorgeous beaches and discover colourful coral reefs in crystal-clear waters. The competition is named after the island’s Kentia palm, one of the world’s most beautiful palms. There are several categories, including one for kids aged 12 and under. The major prize is seven nights for two in an elegant garden cottage at Pinetrees Lodge, a beachside resort on the island. Entries for the 2018 Kentia Prize close on December 5. Only the first 800 entries will be accepted and all funds raised from the competition’s entry fee will be donated to the Lord Howe Island Central School.
