Cooma Cottage, once the home of famous Australian explorer, Hamilton Hume, will host its annual Twilight Picnic Fair.
Bring your family and friends along and enjoy a Twilight Picnic at Cooma Cottage in the same location where Hamilton Hume lived. There will be a large variety of stalls, arts and crafts, honey, wine, quilt display, local produce, alpaca products, refreshments, Devonshire Teas, musical entertainment, sausage sizzle, animals and poultry, Clydesdale horses and pony rides and much more. Purchase beautiful items exclusive to the National Trust at the Cooma Cottage Shop during the Fair and enjoy a personal guided tour of the historic home. Bring a picnic hamper, blanket and cushion, make yourself comfortable and enjoy an afternoon and evening of fun at the Fair.
Historic Cooma Cottage in Yass is a great location for this community event, a State listed heritage property set on 100 pastoral acres. Cooma Cottage now stands as one of the oldest surviving rural houses in regional NSW and is historically significant as a relatively intact complex of rural buildings, including homestead and stables, as well as Hume’s home more than 30 years from 1839.
