Two day drawing workshop with Wendy Stokes.
Corner of Clarence and Hay Streets, Port Macquarie, NSW, 2444, Australia
25th May 2019 to 26th May 2019
This two day workshop aims to interweave a variety of drawing processes and materials encouraging each participant to embrace and investigate a range of approaches to seeing and interpreting landscape in order to find their own meaning. The workshop participants are encouraged to approach this workshop with an open mind and explore the opportunity to experiment with a variety of drawing processes and materials rather than achieve one singular work. The emphasis shall be on the extension of one’s practice, collegial interaction, critique and fun through learning together. Wendy’s workshops are well known for sharing her depth of knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and generosity of spirit where everyone is a winner. Day One: An exploration of en plein air with each participant having the opportunity to select their range of subject matter within a nominated location along their beautiful coastline. The workshop focus shall be on an experimental approach to drawing with each participant building on their results throughout the day in sketchbooks and larger formats. Day Two: An immersive opportunity for your drawings to be interpreted and developed in the Artlab offering potential for the participant to develop more sustained works on paper.
