This free event for the community will see some of UOW's newest Professors present an eight - ten minute talk on their big research idea - on the stage of the University Hall on the main campus of UOW. Presentations will range from the promise and pitfalls of ‘smart cities’, wearable tech, to autonomous robots and smart manufacturing, the history of human colonisation of the planet, and cost-effective strategies for fire prevention and management. As well, there will be a special guest speaker: prominent environmentalist Professor Tim Flannery, interactive research stalls from key University research areas, food trucks, music and entertainment. Free event: ticket bookings are required
