The Willinga Park World Championship Gold Buckle Campdraft is an exciting multi-day event attracting Australia’s best campdrafters.

Now in it’s third year, the annual event is one of Australia’s richest Campdrafts with a whopping $250,000 in prize money up for grabs, including $100,000 for the prestigious winner of the Gold Buckle final on the last day.

Campdrafting is a unique Australian sport thought to have originated in outback Queensland among the stockmen and drovers in informal competitions to prove horse skills. It requires excellent skill and horsemanship, to ‘cut out’ a beast from the mob, get it under control and maneuver it through a course.

The Willinga Park Gold Buckle Campdraft draws huge crowds and it’s just as exhilarating to watch as it is to compete. With thrilling entertainment, a trade village, food and bar, kids-zone, beautiful gardens and tours of Willinga Park, it’s a fantastic way to spend a day on the beautiful South Coast.

During the event, there will also be an auction of the best Australian Stock Horse and Australian Quarter Horse Mares and Fillies that the industry has to offer.
