Australia - China Council Grant Opportunity

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through the Australia – China Council is accepting applications for the 2015–16 grant round.

The Australia - China Council has grants of around $700,000 available to Australian organisations and individuals.

Applications for the grant are online and require an Expression of Interest to be submitted before 31 March 2015.

The 2015–16 grant round is centred on four grant making priority areas in Education, Economic Diplomacy, Arts and Australian Studies in China.

The council supports projects that broaden and strengthen Australia – China relations with grant funding supporting projects across five locations in Asia:

  • China
  • Hong Kong
  • Taiwan
  • Macau
  • Australia

2015-16 Grant Round key dates

  • 31 March 2015: apply online by submitting an Expression of Interest (EOI) before 3:00pm AEDT
  • May 2015: successful EOI applicants will be invited to submit a full application (non successful applicants will also be notified)
  • June 2015: closing date for receiving full applications online
  • July 2015: unsuccessful applicants who submitted a full application are notified and successful applicants are notified pending funding allocation for the 2014–15 Financial Year
