Construction begins on Circular Quay terminus
From Friday, 5 May 2017, two compounds will be established on Alfred Street between Pitt and Loftus Streets.
Pedestrian and traffic will have access at all times.
When complete, customers will be able to interchange between all public transport modes at the terminus, making travelling easier and quicker.
Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance thanked business, residents and commuters for their patience during the build of the project.
“It’s expected that trips into the city centre will balloon to about 780,000 per day by 2031, which is why we’re creating a better, fully-integrated transport network for Sydneysiders,” Mr Constance said.
