The NSW Government is calling on the private sector for expressions of interest on three priority areas - open data, open ideas and congestion. Expressions of interest for social housing assets will be sought in the coming months.

The three priority areas are part of the government’s larger Innovation Initiative.

NSW Minister for Finance and Services Dominic Perrottet said the government was tapping into the crowd.

“The private sector is much better placed than we are to come up with these solutions,” Mr Perrottet said.

Expressions of interest for each of the areas can be lodged until 13 October 2014 on the NSW Government’s eTendering website or data.nsw.gov.au.

Open Data

We are looking for ideas on what could be done with the government’s potential data sets and how to fast track the release of open data.

Open Ideas

We are looking for innovative ideas, methods and programs that solve a clear problem in NSW. Ideas should be repeatable, advance our key goals and be provided at no cost to government.

Congestion

We are looking for ideas around reducing congestion in hot spots across Sydney’s roads.
