The grant is worth $30,000 and open to Aboriginal artists in all art forms, including collections and cultural heritage, community arts and cultural development, dance, literature, multi-art form, music, theatre and visual arts.

Minister for Aboriginal Affairs Leslie Williams said the fellowship was an important chance for Aboriginal artists to showcase work and further develop their skills.

Last year’s fellowship was won by Nicole Foreshew from the Wiradjuri nation (Central West NSW) who worked across mediums including photo-media, design, sculpture, film and video.

Applications close 10 August 2015.
