The NSW Government’s Green Globe Awards are the leading environmental recognition program, celebrating excellence, leadership and innovation in sustainability.

There are 33 extraordinary finalists for 17th Green Globe Awards, which recognise environmental excellence, leadership and innovation.

This year’s finalists come from a variety of sectors including education, local government, community groups, large and small businesses, property management and banking, with strong representation from regional NSW.

NSW Environment Minister Mark Speakman congratulated the finalists from 10 different categories on their ideas, passion and commitment to protecting our environment.

“The Green Globe Awards celebrate the work of NSW organisations and individuals leading the way in making our state a place where people and nature thrive," Mr Speakman said.

“The finalists are movers and shakers of NSW, who inspire us all to take action in caring for our local environment through small and meaningful changes in our everyday activities.”

The finalists were chosen by an independant panel of environmental leaders, including CEOs, policy managers, and professors from leading universities and industry association groups.

The Green Globe Award winners will be announced on Thursday 27 October at the Art Gallery of NSW.
