Millions reap discounts with 2014 Seniors Card Directory
“The 2014 NSW Seniors Card Directory helps seniors unlock up to 3200 discounts throughout the state – including more than 1600 in Sydney and surrounding areas,” Mr Ajaka said.
“Seniors Card holders can make savings every day, with special offers and discounts available on everything from hairdressers, home improvements, movie tickets and even shopping at your local IGA Supermarket.
“As we start to age, it is important that we all remember to stay fit and active and the 2014 Seniors Card Directory helps do this, providing discounted gym memberships and offers for cheap to the theatre and other attractions.
“Significant savings are also available on public transport, with special Pensioner Excursion Ticket and Regional Excursion Daily tickets offering all-day travel in Sydney and nearby metropolitan areas or regional areas for only $2.50.
“Seniors are guaranteed to save, with each offer listed in the directory providing a minimum discount of at least 10 per cent.”
Mr Ajaka said the NSW Government had made it even easier for seniors to apply and manage their Seniors Card through Service NSW.
“Service NSW is now the single point of contact for people interested in applying for a card, learning about offers and discounts, or to ask questions about the 2014 Seniors Card Directory,” he said.
“Customers can manage their Seniors Card either online, over the phone, or through a Service NSW service centre.”
Seniors Cards are available for permanent NSW residents who are 60 years of age or over and are working no more than 20 hours per week in paid employment.
