More jobs for the Central West

Extra funding is available for investment and infrastructure projects that provide strong job creation prospects in the Central West region.

The multi-million dollar pool of funding is part the NSW Government’s new Central West Jobs Action Plan, which combines a range of programs and services such as the Regional Industries Investment Fund, Jobs Action Plan, Export Accelerator program, Small Biz Connect, Supply Chain Accelerator pilot program and Innovate NSW.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Services Andrew Stoner said communities in the Central West were facing significant economic structural adjustments and job losses.

“Including those expected as a result of the closure of the Electrolux plant in Orange in 2016 and the downsizing by Simplot and closure of Downer EDI in Bathurst,” Mr Stoner said.

Businesses can apply for funding by contacting the NSW Trade and Investment office in Orange on 02 6360 8400 or emailing [email protected].
