People who are homeless or at risk of being homeless in NSW can contact a new telephone service for assistance.

By phoning the Link2home number 1800 152 152, people at risk can get information about local homelessness services that will help them.

The 24/7 service is available every day and combines three separate phone services into one to make it easier for clients to access the right service at the right time.

Family and Community Services Minister Gabrielle Upton said the days of having to navigate a confusing maze of advice are now over thanks to Link2home.

“Clients will only need to tell their story once,” she said.

“Link2home would help at-risk groups such as women, young people, Aboriginal people, and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.”

The NSW Government has invested $4.5 million into Link2home, which is part of its $515 million package announced last month to tackle homelessness.

If you are homeless or may be at risk of homelessness call 1800 152 152 for assistance.
