NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell today released the Report of the Review of the Oversight of Police Critical Incidents conducted by former Federal Attorney General The Hon Robert McClelland.

The review into police critical incidents was announced in September 2013 to ensure community confidence in the system and investigate whether improvements can be made to the oversight of incidents

“The NSW Government will consider the report and consult with key stakeholders including the NSW Police Force and its Association, the Ombudsman, the Coroner, the Independent Commission Against Corruption and the Police Integrity Commission, before responding before the middle of the year,” Mr O’Farrell said.

“I thank Mr McClelland and his team for the report,” he said.
